Having grown up in Ohio, my wife D.D. and I met in Jackson Hole and relocated to Aspen from there in 1987. I’ve continually worked for Aspen Skiing Company the entire time, initially as Ski School Director and eventually as Director of Mountain Planning. In that role I oversee ski area master planning, manage lift/trail/snowmaking development, and collaborate on environmental review processes with the US Forest Service. My true vocation however has always been, and still is, teaching anyone to become a skier.
D.D. and I built our home in Shield O’Mesa 30 years ago and we have been active in facilitating improvements to our residential community the entire time. We raised our two children, Theresa and Martin, in the Valley and have happily shared with, and passed on to them, the love of an outdoor lifestyle in the mountains and rivers that surround us.
